At the Colorado State Fair!

We took Avery to the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo yesterday. It was a beautiful Colorado day! We had such a great time! We walked around and took in the sights. We got to see a lot of animals too ~ sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, cows, horses, mules, puppies, you name it! Avery & I had a blast checking out the horses in all the different stalls. We went from stall to stall, saying hello and petting all the different horses. At one point, we were standing in front of a horse that had his head stuck out of the stall door when he decided to let out a very loud "NEIGH". He neighed so loud that it blew Avery's hair back!!!! She just froze in shock and then started laughing! At another stall, we saw a miniature horse. She pointed at it and said "bebe". She'll point out babies in books when we ask her where the baby is but she's never voluntarily pointed at something small and said baby! Andrew & I just looked at each other and smiled in disbelief! We rode the Merry-go-round and Avery even got her first taste of funnel cake! She was an instant fan!
This picture doesn't do the size of this Texas Longhorn justice! We couldn't believe how big a cow could be... it was insane! He was enormous, like a mutant cow!
Shark tank at a state fair? Oh yes! Weird but true! They also had sea lions. Such a shame that they were taken SO far out of their habitats to travel to fairs!
Avery liked the Merry-go-round but was quite serious and focused while riding!
Checking out all the prize goats
