Pre-Halloween Fun!

Avery's toddler play group had a "trunk or treat" event today at the local McDonalds! It was supposed to be at a local park but it was too cold and wet this morning so the location was changed. All of the toddlers arrived in costume, went table to table and collected candy and then they all ran around and played for a little while. All of this socializing that Avery has been doing at play groups and at the church nursery is really benefiting her. I see such a change in her with how she plays/reacts towards other children. She is also much more confident about leaving my side and going off to play! It's been so fun to see her independence and confidence grow!

Avery grabbed my witch hat this morning and told Andrew that she wanted to wear it. She wore it all morning! In the picture below, she's watching her morning cartoon while eating breakfast... all while wearing a witches hat. Maybe she's hinting that she didn't want to be a ladybug this year!?! :)
