We found a little hidden gem in our neighborhood recently! It's a duck pond that's a half a mile walk from our house. It's a really scenic walk along a green belt area of our neighborhood so it makes for a nice little family walk for all of us. It's a pond with a pretty waterfall in the middle and it has tons of trees to provide shade. There are ducks everywhere! I think they must get fed a lot because they swarmed us the minute we got there! We were nervous at first that they might be vicious and overwhelming but they just sat there patiently waiting for their bread treats. Their behavior reminded me of dogs begging for treats! There were the behaved ones, the pushy ones, the beggars and the submissive ones! LOL They just stood around us, all waiting for their turn. It was odd for wild ducks and geese to be so tame but with two little ones, I'm not complaining!
