Weatherford had a Veteran's Day Parade today. It far exceeded our expectations! It was a great little parade complete with a marching band, various community floats, soldiers, military vehicles, horses, cool cars, you name it! They even had a few F16s fly over the center of town. It really had a great hometown feel to it! This was Avery's 1st parade. She liked that she got candy thrown to her and that everyone was waving to her. Below are a few shots that I took of the various people in the parade!

A marine walking with a horse with no rider. There were boots in the stirrups so we think this was symbolizing something about fallen soldiers???? We were not quite sure, but it's still pretty cool!

The beginning of the
Weatherford Sheriff's Posse!

You know you're in Texas when two John Deere tractors go by in the parade... one being towed by another... both drivers in jean overalls... one wearing a combat helmet!
