We were bummed that it was supposed to rain all day today but were pleasantly surprised when it didn't start until 4pm! We took full advantage and played outside after our morning errands and then again in the afternoon before the big storm hit. Avery always tends to prefer playing in our driveway yet we have 1 acre of land!?! So Andrew & I encouraged her to play in the backyard this afternoon. She seemed to have a great time picking flowers, throwing the ball to Bowen and running in the grass. We watched the sky turn darker and darker and then headed inside right before the big storm hit. It was still pretty warm outside so we let Avery watch the rain come down from the front door. Every now and then she'd get the courage to run out into the rain and get a little wet. It's usually too cold to do this so it was fun watching her experiment with the rain a little. I remember doing the same thing when I was little. We finished the afternoon with a family movie ~ The Penguins of Madagascar. Overall, it was such a great family day!!
Picking pretty purple flowers (or weeds? Not quite sure...) for mommy!
Bowen is exhausted from too much fetch! (Is that even possible for a Lab?!?)
Avery also wanted a break...
