Unfortunately, Andrew had to work this Easter but Avery, Aunt Jenn & I still made the best of it! We started off the morning with church and then participated in the church's Easter egg hunt. At first, Avery didn't quite understand... she'd pick up one egg and be satisfied with that. She wanted the candy in the middle. We had to encourage her to keep getting MORE eggs!
After church, we took her to the Olive Garden to get a little lunch in that candy filled belly! She loves their Mac N Cheese and fresh graded parmesan cheese. Afterwards, it was home for a nap! After a nice long nap, we headed over to a local park to meet some friends for an Easter BBQ. Avery had a great time playing on the playground with her Aunt Jenn & I. Thankfully Jenn did most of the chasing around while I watched them play. I'm getting much slower in my advanced pregnancy stage, not to mention lots of feet and leg swelling as well! We finished off the night with another egg hunt. By that time, she needed no help! She completely understood her mission and went at it with a purpose. Thanks to the Easter Bunny, she's also learned that eggs should come with candy in the middle. If not, then they're not worth her time! She'd pick up an egg and if it didn't shake (ie: with candy), she'd promptly throw the hard boiled egg back on the ground for the other children to pick up! By the end of the day, all she could talk about was "eggs" and "canee". We brought a very dirty and tired child home to her daddy for her nightly bath! Not to mention, all hopped up on sugar!! I don't think she's had this much chocolate in a 12 hour period in her life! It took her awhile to wind down from the day but she eventually went to sleep, thank God! All in all, a great day!
you got some great shots, glad it was a great day!
